A month of celebrations for our first half decade.
It only seems yesterday that we opened our first one table restaurant in Old Street. The only plan was to serve good food, take people to places they'd not been to before, and make sure everyone left happy. We kicked off our birthday month on October 14th with our friends at The Guardian. Dinner was ticket only with very limited places available. Fred DDC served a five courses of DDC favourites with wines carefully chosen by Laura Jane Faulds.Norse by Norsewest at Bi5MOctober 21st / £45 / 7pm
NXNW was a monthly dinner party that ran between 2011 and 2014, serving DDC's Swedish Head Chef Fred Bolin's favourite smörgasbord dishes, reimagined as a stream of small plates and home made aquavit. It also has one of the best DDC mini-brand names. NXNW came back for one night at Bi5M on October 21st.Slaughterhouse Supper Club in SW8October 31st / £60 / 7pm
We then took Slaughterhouse Supper Club over to a VERY SPECIAL location in Vauxhall. Dinner was served in the cellars of a Georgian town house under vaulted ceilings and surrounded by a menagerie of antiques, artefacts and oddities. Space strictly limited. Dinner included 4 x courses and a welcome cocktail.
