Summer in an Ibizan farmhouse
Back in 1998, Stuart DDC was sat in his flat in Almaty Kazakhstan (true story), considering his future. It was minus 40 degrees outside, his TEFL qualification wasn't all it was cracked up to be, he couldn't stop getting himself arrested/asked to bribe a policeman, and he decided it was time for a change. On a fairly constant loop on Indian MTV at the time, was this video, which is where DDC's love for Ibiza began.
Fast forward to 2014, and we'd like to invite you to The Farm in Ibiza, our new food & drink holiday location, and DDC's first venture abroad. The Farm is a beautiful 150 year old finca in the middle of the island, just outside the village of Santa Gertrudis surrounded by 10 acres of farmland with orange groves, fig, lemon, almond, pomegranate and olive trees. Full of rustic charm, the finca is enclosed in a hacienda courtyard with plenty of outdoor eating and chill-out space (think hammocks and daybeds). A second courtyard features a cold water tub for a cooling dip on really hot days.
Hosts Felden and Peachy have lived on the island for several years and can give you an ‘insiders’ knowledge of the best beaches, bars and restaurants to visit during your stay. They have two very friendly dogs, four cats and chickens.
