More than just Meatballs and Roll Mops, Scandinavian food is wild, fresh and cooked with the minimum of fuss.
Modern cooking methods and access to fresh ingredients all year round has changed Scandinavian cuisine in the last 30 years, with a host of chefs finding international acclaim through their work at restaurants such as Noma, Frantzen/Lindeberg and Fviken.
NXNW is a monthly evening of modern, Scandinavian, tapas style dishes matched with wine, beer and home made Aquavit at Back in 5 Minutes, our private restaurant in East London.
DDC Head Chef Fredrik Bolin serves bite size plates including Steak & Beetroot Tartare, Elk Sausage Roll & Juniper Berries, Potato Dumplings with Bacon, Allspice & Lingonberries, Herrings, Anchovies, Potted Reindeer, Oysters & Pickled Cucumber, Roast Swede & Celeriac with Nettles & Marjoram followed by Apple & Cinnamon Jelly, Blueberry Cones, Swedish Punch & Almond Custard.
An evening of Scandinavian tapas and home made Acquavit costs £45, with DDC beers and wines available to buy from our staff.
Doors are at 8pm and NXNW closes around midnight.
