Small plates, VIP hospitality, happy days.
We have just completed a second year at Lovebox in Victoria Park, this time serving up a menu of tasty small plates to over 1500 guests over the weekend. With each guest eating five plates, that's . . . err . . . 7500 plates of food served over two days. Gadzooks!
Team DDC set up a full field kitchen, and worked alongside MAMA group and Secret Productions to set up and fully table serve food and drink over the weekend. We put together a fantastic group of staff from some of London's best known restaurants to work alongside DDC veterans, serving proper knife and fork food in a stunning Spiegeltent, large outside gardens, and a series of brand sponsors in private tents and designated areas.
Dishes included Crispy Shiitake Rolls with Wasabi Mayo, Pulled Pork Quesedillas, Brick Lane Smoked Salmon & Potato Salad, Beef Short Rib Chilli & Crispy Tortilla, DDC Lamb Sausages with Cucumber & Mint, Giant Cous Cous, Watermelon & Mint Salad, Eton Mess, DDC Chocolate Brownie & Popcorn Parfait.
The weather was fantastic, the music was terrific and at the end of the day we went home and slept in our own beds. Our perfect idea of a festival weekend.
