Scandinavian small plates, aquavit & superfast 4GEE.

The team behind EE's 4G UK launch needed a night to remember, and we were asked by our friends at WRG Live to suggest something fun, festive and foodie.

The answer was a Norse by Norsewest cooking demo, inside an empty old bank, hidden underneath a huge super poster in East London's Old Street. Wrapped up snugly in some of the best/worst Christmas jumpers ever seen (and also celebrating a birthday within the group), team EE learned how to make Gravad Lax (without burying it in the ground), marinated their own herrings in a dozen different ways, flavoured their own pickled juices, were shown how to infuse vodka to make traditional Swedish aquavit, found out about lingonberries, cloudberries, Arctic cheeses, salt liquorice and worked together with DDC chef Tomas Eriksson to put together a great NXNW dinner party.

Dinner was accompanied by plenty of cocktails and a brand new signature pairing of Boiled Egg, Creme Fraiche, Arctic Caviar and Swedish aquavit called, 'Shot & Egg'. It went down a treat.
