Back in 5 Minutes is our restaurant and private dining room, hidden behind a clothes shop on Brick Lane. We take bookings and walk-in diners every Wednesday to Satuday evening; just pop through the shop and you’ll find us down some stairs and behind a curtain at the back.
Food is “elegantly European” (Time Magazine), and draws upon DDC Head Chef Fredrik Bolin’s Swedish roots, and his time spent running French, Italian & Scandinavian kitchens in London and New York. Expect Potted Meats with DDC Sourdough, Sweetcorn & Roast Garlic Soup or Smoked Chicken Hearts with Apple & Walnut Slaw to start, Braised Lamb Shoulder with Snail & Red Wine Risotto, Confit Duck and Orange Braised Lentils or Herb Crusted Salmon Fillet with Crushed Olives & Potatoes for mains, with Salt Liquorice & Lemon Curd Eton Mess, Vanilla Panna cotta & Red Wine Poached Pears or a host of Britsh Cheeses for dessert.
There’s a short but tasty drinks list, with great wines, food friendly cocktails, and everything you might like to drink before, during and after dinner. Diners can stay with us for late night drinks until 1am.
Every Wednesday is our Dinner Club, with 30 available seats around our three tables, for family style, get-to-know-your-neighbours dining. We open our doors at 7pm, serve food at 7.30pm, with one menu for all diners. Dinner is £30 for 4 courses and welcome Grey Goose Le Fizz.
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday we have a 3 or 4 courses menu at £30 or £35, with a Grey Goose Le Fizz on arrival, or our new 6 course tasting menu, accompanied by 3 cocktails, served before, after and during your dinner, is £50.
Saturday & Sunday afternoons we are currently closed, but will happily open for groups of 10 or more for our kind of afternoon tea (tea optional), and for a Sunday lunch. Take a look at the menus below.
